Having not enough of the Myanmar’s 2015 election fever on Facebook, this newest app is creating a riot within Myanmar’s social circles. CharParty is an app that overlays and puts your chosen party label on your Facebook profile. The naming of the app may be a play on the food Chapati and the political satirisation of the current state of affair on Myanmar’s politics: “Char”*.
No matter what the rose is called, the app is spreading like wild fire online with many people asking for a link of the app, you even have your thought leaders of social sphere sharing it on their walls. Currently the app only allows NLD flag to be used as overlay with three colour accents, while it only allows the 7 other party labels to be tagged on your Facebook profile. The app does require the user to log in to their Facebook account but the creator guaranteed they retain no login details.
Head onto Charparty if you are curious.
